The board voted to accept the district’s monthly financial report for December after staff described revenue and expenditure trends.
Finance presentation noted that December revenue was higher than the same month the prior year by $97,525, attributed chiefly to larger property-tax advances. The presenter said unrestricted state aid (foundation payments) also increased the month’s revenue. On expenditures, the presenter said actual expenditures for the month were down by $553,700, while fiscal‑year‑to‑date general fund expenditures were higher versus last year due to categorical variances such as nonutility property services and insurance benefits.
After discussion about month-to-month timing effects (for example, when property-tax advances arrive), the board called the roll. Miss Fountain, Miss Dead by Walls, Dr. Rice and Miss Sanders were recorded as voting yes and the motion to accept the report passed.
