Sanitary sewer work in Belle Oaks to start March 8; Edgewood Road design to advance

City Engineer Justin Haselton briefed the council on infrastructure projects during the Feb. 24 meeting, reporting a schedule for sanitary sewer work and progress on a road-reconstruction project.
Haselton said the kickoff meeting for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District sanitary sewer improvements project near Belle Oaks has been held and construction is scheduled to begin March 8 with completion expected by the end of June. He also reported that the Edgewood Road Reconstruction Project field survey is complete, design is in progress and plans have been submitted to utility companies for review; the project is planned for bidding in the spring and construction in the summer or fall.
Haselton added that the city submitted paperwork to Cuyahoga County seeking 50/50 reimbursement for Highland Road (2024) and Brush Road (2025). No contract amounts or specific bid dates were included in the minutes.
