Later in the meeting the committee made and carried a motion to enter closed session to discuss personnel matters under the Code of Virginia §2.2‑3711(A)(1) and to consult with legal counsel under §2.2‑3711(A)(7) and (8) specifically regarding student discipline and personnel matters. The motion was moved by Mr. Moon and seconded by Ms. Saint John Cunningham and passed unanimously. Chair Ryan recessed the public meeting at 5:07 p.m. before the closed session.
