Resolutions approved include: authorization to purchase 10 portable and 2 mobile radios from Motorola Solutions at a price lower than the Ohio state contract (Resolution No. 34–2026); a purchase agreement with Hall Public Safety to upfit three new police vehicles (Resolution No. 35–2026); purchase of a new emergency ambulance from Penn Care, Inc. through the Ohio Department of Administrative Services cooperative purchasing program with an accompanying trade-in (Resolution No. 36–2026); purchase and installation of a city surveillance/access-control system from Commserv at a cost lower than Sourcewell (Resolution No. 37–2026); and an agreement with Gallagher Architects, Inc. for certified chief building official and plan review services (Resolution No. 38–2026).
Council repeatedly used motions to suspend the rules to allow immediate consideration; each suspension and each resolution vote passed unanimously. Most motions to suspend the rules were made by Council President Bobby Jordan and seconded by Robinson; approval motions were frequently made or seconded by Councilmembers Ursu, Silver, Shaw or Nelson depending on the item.
