South Londonderry chief to retire; board appoints Sgt. Jared Zimmerman as active chief

Chairwoman Faith Bucks read a proclamation honoring Chief Bill Reigle for his years of service. Vice Chairman Jack Custer moved to accept Reigle’s retirement letter; Member William Bova seconded, and the motion carried.
On the same motion sequence, the board appointed Sgt. Jared Zimmerman to serve as Active Police Chief beginning July 3, 2026. Manager John Eberly also announced the board would convene an executive session after the meeting to discuss a personnel matter.
