During the Feb. 13 BASWG meeting, outreach and education items took up a portion of the agenda. Megan Hess and Brenda Zollitsch summarized completed and planned outreach activities.
Items discussed included a Snow and Ice poster for municipal buildings (members were asked to post copies where appropriate), a sign-up for the Maine Science Festival on March 22, and a Winter Maintenance Managers Roundtable scheduled for April 10. The Outfall Signs Project was reviewed: Old Town has completed installations and Hampden has set posts; Angela was asked to create a sign-up sheet to support on-camera instructional videos for sign installation and use.
A Pulse recording titled "Meet Your Stormwater Manager" was postponed because of the winter storm; the meeting recorded a new date of March 13, 9–10 a.m. at Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC), and Megan Hess sent calendar invitations.
Next steps: members will post the Snow and Ice poster in municipal buildings, sign up for festival staffing, and complete remaining sign installations ahead of outreach events.
