The Clearview Board of Education on Sept. 8 approved a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Lorain County Sheriff's Office that defines the mission of the district’s School Resource Officer (SRO) program. The MOU was approved as Resolution 2025-146 and carried by voice vote.
The board also accepted a package of classroom supplies donated through DonorsChoose to Clearview High School, including notebooks, markers, disinfecting wipes and fidget tools, recorded under Resolution 2025-147.
Later in the meeting the board entered executive session at 6:53 p.m. under Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G)(1) to discuss employment, dismissal, discipline or compensation of an employee or official; the superintendent attended the executive session and no action was taken during it. The board exited executive session at 8:30 p.m., and the meeting was adjourned shortly thereafter (minutes record the adjournment time as 6:31 p.m., which conflicts with the recorded executive session exit; the correct adjournment occurred after the 8:30 p.m. exit and has been reflected as such in this report).
