Clearview Board signs off on certified hires, substitutes and dozens of extracurricular assignments
Summary
The board approved multiple certified hires including two intervention specialists, a long-term substitute, home-instruction tutors, numerous supplemental coaches and club advisors, and several classified hires and resignations as part of the personnel consent agenda on Sept. 8.
The Clearview Board of Education approved a slate of personnel recommendations for the 2025–2026 school year during its Sept. 8 meeting.
Certified approvals included the hiring of Sidney Sathre as an intervention specialist at Durling Middle School and Lisa Weeast as an intervention specialist (both effective Aug. 14, 2025). The board also approved a long-term substitute appointment for Morgan Perichak at Durling Middle School and multiple home-instruction tutors and substitute instructors to be paid at the district’s tutor or curriculum rates.
Supplemental assignments approved by the board cover athletics and student activities across Clearview High School, Durling Middle School and Vincent Elementary School, including cross-country, cheer, student council advisors, yearbook, band and choir directors, and other club and class advisors. Several staff members were approved for named positions and fractional (.5) assignments where noted in the packet.
On the classified side the board approved hires including Joan Koons (Cook’s Helper, Clearview High School), Matthew Czompoly (Cleaner), and other as-needed aides and bus monitors, and accepted resignations from staff including Lisa Van Horn and others listed in the packet. Votes on these personnel items were recorded under Resolutions 2025-144 and 2025-145 and carried unanimously.
