"This is Greg's favorite day of the year," one evaluator said as the summary began. After discussion and questions about the evaluation tool and transparency, each body'Northborough, Southborough, the regional committee and the union'moved to approve the evaluation as presented; roll-call votes were recorded and reported as unanimous.
The committees then moved into executive session to conduct contract negotiations with the superintendent. After reconvening in open session, a motion was made to increase Superintendent Greg Martineau's current salary of $239,095 by a 3.5% cost-of-living increase for a total annual salary of $247,463.33 for the 2026—27 school year. The motion was seconded and roll-call votes were taken in each committee; the motion passed unanimously.
Superintendent Martineau thanked the committee for the evaluation and said, "I do appreciate the vote of confidence," adding that he takes the feedback seriously and will incorporate it into upcoming goals. Committee members praised his visibility and leadership across the three districts and noted the complexity of managing 900 employees and about 4,200 students.
No public comment was offered after the vote; the committees adjourned at 7:20 p.m. The next combined meeting is scheduled for Sept. 16.
