The Town of Star Valley Ranch Town Council unanimously approved permits for two residential projects and granted a variance for a Ridgecrest property during a special meeting on Sept. 26, 2024, the council announced.
Councilman Rok moved to approve a single-family residence application from Thomas Jelsma and Jennie Tanner for 78 Alpenglow Drive, with a contingency that town staff confirm the eaves are within the required setbacks. Councilman Denney seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The council also approved an accessory-building permit for Andre Pillons at 554 Cedar Creek Drive after Councilman Rok moved to approve contingent on providing additional information related to site drainage; Councilman Denney seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
After a motion by Councilman Denney and a second by Councilman Rok, the council amended the agenda to add a variance request for 300 Ridgecrest Drive. John Cantamessa presented the variance request; his neighbor, Mr. Kent, testified that the variance would be the best option for nearby residents. Councilman Rok moved to approve the variance and Councilman Denney seconded; the council approved the motion unanimously.
The meeting opened at 3:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers and concluded at 3:40 p.m. with a motion to adjourn by Councilman Denney, seconded by Councilman Rok.
