Town administrator reports infrastructure updates, Muddy String annexation amendment

Town Administrator Aitken updated the council on town-hall concrete repairs, sewer and water projects including a lead-and-copper inventory, WIP23 winding down with one remaining Vista tie-in, and said a developer is amending a Muddy String annexation plan and may request to speak to the council.
Town Administrator Aitken briefed the council on multiple infrastructure and utility matters at the Sept. 10 work session.
Aitken said concrete repair work at town hall is underway. He reported that the right-of-way crew is doing trimming ahead of winter and the town is evaluating repair or replacement options for the current magnesium storage tank.
Sewer work includes installation of a ring for a manhole scheduled for the week. Aitken also said the town's lead-and-copper inventory is progressing well and is expected to meet its regulatory deadline.
On larger projects, the WIP23 project is proceeding and "winding down," with one more significant shutdown planned for a tie-in on Vista Drive. A planned power-box relocation on Vista Drive remains under consideration but "is unlikely to happen," according to the minutes.
Aitken also gave a heads-up that a developer is amending a Muddy String annexation plan and will submit it to the county; the developer may ask to address the council about the proposal when it is resubmitted.
