Resident Valerie Leonard (134 Hendrickson Road) raised a safety concern during public comment on April 28, saying drivers are still making left turns from Siloam Road onto Peony Place where the new ordinance prohibits them.
"Some drivers are still making left turns on Siloam Road where they are not permitted to do so, creating significant safety concerns," Ms. Leonard said.
Mayor Preston explained that Ordinance O-26-17 prohibits left turns from Siloam Road onto Peony Place (the approach into the Estates at Brock Farms subdivision) and asked Captain Winowski to increase police presence and implement targeted enforcement in the area to address the violations.
The committee did not record any further public comment on the matter during the meeting. The ordinance adopting the traffic change was passed earlier in the meeting by a unanimous recorded vote of the members present (Committeeman Cook absent).
