Board told Jasper County approved ACE funding; Beaufort must act to access dollars

Dr. Rodriguez (S4) informed trustees that Jasper County has recently approved funding for the ACE program and that Beaufort County must take a corresponding action so the district can obtain its share and begin work.
"Jasper County, just recently approving, a a a sum of money for ACE," Dr. Rodriguez said, adding that Tanya (staff) "has some steps that she has to go through" to position the funds and that the board would need to take an action to contribute a like amount to move the work forward.
Board members did not vote on ACE funding during the call; the discussion was intended to place the item under board business so that staff can prepare any required motions or documentation for a future meeting.
