Upper Hanover board questions Bowman Company's proposed 15% fee increase; manager directed to seek renegotiation or alternatives

Supervisor Stefan Laessig and other board members asked Klepfer to notify Bowman that the board expects a downward renegotiation of the proposed rates. The board said that if Bowman declines to renegotiate, the Township will solicit proposals from other traffic-engineering firms to provide the same services at lower rates.
No formal motion to terminate or replace Bowman was recorded; the board's action was a direction to staff to pursue renegotiation or alternative proposals. The fee-schedule resolution (Resolution #2024-01) was tabled pending LTL Consultants' explanation of the recommended increases and any follow-up from Bowman.
The discussion will inform upcoming procurement steps and the township's consultant budget for 2024.
