Resident Elin Elisofon asked what the next step would be for the Net Factory site. Town Manager Marjorie Stratton said the Net Factory Site Reuse Committee presented a final report at a prior meeting but did not reach a unanimous or overwhelming recommendation on the site’s best use. Stratton noted the Town holds the property as tenants in common with the Water District, a condition that must be resolved before the town can select and implement a reuse plan.
Stratton said the town may form another committee in the future to evaluate all town buildings and determine whether a different site would better meet community needs and priorities. No new committee was formed at the meeting and no formal direction was recorded; the Board did not take further action on the Net Factory site at this session.
