Chief Johnathon Cattey reported that 800-band radios have been installed for the department and thanked members for their response to a structure fire on Naser Road.
EMS Captain Dylan Regis reported on last year’s call volume and noted some personnel will need recertification over the summer. Hose testing was scheduled for April 8 and April 10, and radio-call dates for April were assigned.
David Joray was sworn in as a member and Jack Romano and Joe Joray were proposed for membership. The meeting also honored members: Art Schmidt received the inaugural Deputy Chief’s Award for work on apparatus and the firehouse; Pat Scully received the inaugural Chief’s Award for contributions to the department’s new radio tower and communications equipment; and Mike Brunetto received a Fire Safety award from the Sons of the American Revolution for years of first-responder service.
