The Town of Litchfield Beautification Commission voted April 1 to schedule a community planting at Town Hall on May 2 at 9:00 a.m., with May 3 held as a backup date for additional work. Treasurer Carlissa Bayette led the budget review and motioned for the planting schedule; Chair Haley Whipple seconded the motion, which passed by voice vote.
Bayette reported that the commission had two open purchase orders — $27.23 to Litchfield Hills Nursery and $103.67 for cardmember services — and stated a remaining budget amount of $1,250. She recommended issuing blanket purchase orders of $1,027.23 for Litchfield Hills Nursery and $353.67 for cardmember services. Commissioners approved the recommendation by unanimous voice vote. The recommended blanket POs total $1,380.90, which exceeds the $1,250 remainder Bayette reported; the discrepancy was noted on the record but was not resolved during the meeting.
Earlier in the meeting the commission also approved the March 4 special meeting minutes (motioned by Carlissa Bayette, seconded by Wolf Boehme) and voted to table the election of a secretary until the next scheduled meeting (motioned by Carlissa Bayette, seconded by Wolf Boehme). All recorded motions passed by unanimous voice votes of the members present. The commission adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
