Lebanon introduces $1.108 million capital-improvement ordinance

The Lebanon Township Committee introduced Ordinance No. 06-2026 on May 13, authorizing $1,108,000 for various public improvements and acquisitions and setting a public hearing for June 10, 2026.
The ordinance itemizes projects and amounts: a township road-resurfacing program ($225,000); chip-seal program ($80,000); Department of Public Works equipment ($65,000) and vehicle ($100,000); a Police Department vehicle ($50,000) and in-vehicle printers/radar ($25,000); stormwater management ($10,000); building and property improvements ($181,000); a capital improvement fund ($10,000); fire-department equipment ($152,000); and funds raised toward a fire truck ($210,000). The ordinance text appropriates a total of $1,108,000 from the 2026 capital improvement fund (split $1,008,000 from the capital improvement fund and $100,000 from the general capital fund line item).
Committee member Beverly Koehler requested additional detail on the capital fund uses; Clerk Budd agreed to provide that breakdown. Mayor Jay Wojcik asked for and received a committee motion to introduce the ordinance; the motion passed unanimously (mover Webb, second Koehler).
The public hearing on Ordinance No. 06-2026 will be held June 10, 2026. Any township resident seeking more information was directed to the Township Clerk for the detailed capital budget line items and timing.
