Upper Hanover approves AMS contract extension for cape seal and authorizes multiple road-service solicitations

The Upper Hanover Township Board of Supervisors approved a one-year, final option extension with AMS for Cape Seal and Ultra-Thin Micro-Bond work and authorized the Township Manager to solicit proposals and advertise for several road-related services and materials.
At the Jan. 9 meeting, Supervisor Stefan Laessig moved to accept AMSone-year contract extension for cape seal and micro-bond work; the motion was seconded by Tim Woodward and approved 4-0. The board also authorized the Township Manager to solicit proposals for propane and lawn care services and to advertise for bids for oil & chip, crack sealing, road materials and equipment rentals with operators; those motions passed unanimously.
Engineer Mr. Eisenbrown reported Flyway Excavating submitted the lowest responsible bid ($112,539.70) for the Perkiomen Creek (Camelot Park) streambank stabilization project; the board deferred awarding that contract until February. The Graber Road project is complete except for the final wearing course of paving, pending warmer weather.
Next steps: Manager will issue solicitations and advertise bids; the board will consider contract awards at a future meeting, including a February decision on the Perkiomen Creek stabilization project.
