The Vinalhaven Board of Selectmen authorized a $10,000 payment from the Harbor Reserve to Ian Adair, doing business as Mad Man Marine, to build a new aluminum thoroughfare ramp after the existing ramp became unusable.
Selectman Pam Alley moved the appropriation; the motion was seconded by Leslie Dyer and approved 3–0–0. The minutes note a temporary ramp provided by Foy Brown is currently in place while the new ramp is built. Town Manager Marjorie Stratton said she had an estimate from Ian Adair for the work.
The board directed staff to process payment from the Harbor Reserve to Mad Man Marine and to oversee installation of the replacement ramp.
