New Bremen council approves minutes, accepts financial reports and county budget figures

At its Sept. 25 meeting, the Council of the Village of New Bremen approved the Sept. 11 regular meeting minutes and accepted the finance report showing September expenditures of $1,653,622.72 and August receipts of $1,715,649.29, after the Finance Committee reviewed bank reconciliations. The minutes record motions approving both items and indicate unanimous votes (motions by Lomakin and Larger; seconds by Larger and Condon, respectively).
Council also received Auglaize County Budget Commission amounts for the coming period and passed Resolution 2023-08-11 to accept the local government funds and rates: general property tax $214,529; EMS levy $175,426; and local government funds $88,706.63. The minutes compared those figures to the prior year: $214,967 (property tax), $166,521 (EMS) and $93,172.55 (local government). A motion to accept the county figures was made by Larger and seconded by Burnell; the vote was recorded as six ayes.
The meeting concluded with a motion by Larger, seconded by Condon, to adjourn at 6:41 p.m.
