Town schedules Lebanon Road study presentation Aug. 7; Clerk’s Office audit set for Aug. 13

The Town Administrator reported several near-term administrative items to the Select Board July 24: a Lebanon Road study presentation scheduled for the board’s Aug. 7 meeting, an expected paving bid from Allstate, a Motor Vehicles audit of the Clerk’s Office on Aug. 13, and incoming proposals from American Security and Seacoast Security to take over alarm monitoring.
Board members agreed to invite the Road Committee to the Aug. 7 meeting when Gorrill Palmer (the firm that produced the Lebanon Road study) presents. The Town Administrator said Charlie from Allstate has indicated he will provide a paving bid by the end of the week to be placed on the next agenda; Winchell asked that proposals include patching the previously identified area, removing a roadway hump by the library, and paving the stretch from the library south so the board can evaluate costs before deciding on further development. The Clerk’s Office audit by Motor Vehicles is scheduled for Aug. 13 and staff are preparing inventories and policies for the review. The Town Administrator said both American Security and Seacoast Security expect to provide written proposals to assume monitoring of the town alarm system with comparable service and potentially lower fees and local support.
