The Acton Select Board approved a request to add two outdoor concerts to Iron Tails' summer schedule and set a public hearing on the establishment's liquor-license renewal.
Mr. Martinez asked the board for permission to add concerts on July 20 and Aug. 9; he said events would end promptly at 10 p.m. and comply with the town noise ordinance. Select Board members reviewed the dates, noted a potential conflict with a Renaissance Fair and discussed that the expected attendance did not require a mass-gathering permit under state or local code. The board agreed to the additions and thanked Mr. Martinez for the notice.
Separately, Town Administrator Jennifer Roux told the board Iron Tails has applied for a liquor-license renewal and that a public hearing has been scheduled for July 24 at 6 p.m.; appropriate parties will be notified. The board did not take a formal vote on the liquor-license application at the July 10 meeting; the scheduled hearing will provide an opportunity for public input.
