Thayne council approves meter replacement, alarm upgrade, VanNoy Parkway renovation and $2M split investment

Citing the town's roughly 250 meters, councilmembers favored the smaller, lower‑cost option and approved the purchase (motion carried).
Eggleston also presented an EZ Access bid to replace the Community Center fire‑alarm control panel for $7,045.45 and a monitoring option at $30.99 per month per site (Community Center and Town Hall). The council approved the installation and later approved monitoring for both buildings at $30.99 each per month.
On streets and capital projects, Mayor Devin Simpson reported the sale of Business Park Lot 3 and proposed using proceeds from the sales of Lots 3 and 4 to fund a full reclamation of VanNoy Parkway in summer 2021. The council approved beginning the process for a complete renovation.
On investments, Mayor Simpson suggested splitting $2 million between WyoStar I and WyoStar II to balance yield and risk; Councilman Joe Heward moved to invest $1 million in each fund and the motion carried.
