The municipal complex building committee updated town meeting on progress toward planning a consolidated municipal complex at 48 Gardener Road. Chair Carrie Sacrimoni summarized stabilization work completed since purchase, selection of architects (Derek Rubinoff & Associates) and the schematic-design phase underway.
Sacrimoni said the committee developed two conceptual alternatives: one that uses more of the lower level and another that places municipal offices upstairs and preserves downstairs space for multiuse and committee meeting rooms. The committee plans to finish schematic design and cost estimates with its engineers, present the two alternative plans for community review in the fall, and bring a funding request to a special town meeting with a final vote expected at the November 2026 election.
Interim Town Administrator Sean Fitzgerald emphasized the project's long-term importance for public-safety facilities and municipal operations and urged residents to engage with the committee's public meetings. The committee asked residents to follow posted agendas and attend community sessions ahead of the fall special town meeting.
