South Heidelberg Township’s Board of Supervisors authorized several land development and infrastructure steps during its Jan. 5 meeting, approving developer agreements and advancing 2026 road and bridge planning.
The board unanimously authorized the township to sign emergency access, policing authority, improvements and stormwater agreements for Walters Park LLC, and to sign stormwater and improvements agreements for C&B Development LLC as part of their respective land development plans. Township Engineer Scott Anderson was authorized to prepare bid documentation and advertise bids for 2026 roadwork projects.
Separately, the board directed the engineer to solicit requests for proposals from engineering firms to provide consulting, cost estimates, design and permitting services for the Walters Avenue Bridge replacement project. The board also approved the manager issuing consent to include a parcel (Scattered Acres, Reinholds Parcel ID 51436503007999) in an Agricultural Security Area in West Cocalico Township.
Board members said these votes were routine steps to ensure required agreements and procurement activity are in place for forthcoming construction and permitting work. Follow-up work assigned to the engineer includes preparing bid documents and returning with proposals for the Walters Avenue Bridge.
The actions were carried unanimously.
