Lebanon Township adds Dell servers and signs technology support contract as part of IT upgrade

Lebanon Township on June 21 amended its April purchase authorization to add two Dell PowerEdge R350 domain servers ($8,072.36) and approved a Technology Support Services Agreement with the Hunterdon County Educational Services Commission covering July 1, 2023–June 30, 2024.
Resolution No. 71-2023 memorialized the addition of two Dell servers to the township’s previously approved equipment purchase from CDW Government; the additional servers were purchased using a Hunterdon ESC Dell quote dated May 30, 2023 and will be procured under an applicable state contract. The motion to amend the earlier resolution was made and approved at the June 21 meeting.
Resolution No. 72-2023 authorizes the township to contract for technology support with Hunterdon ESC at a rate of $1,000 per month for regularly listed support items and $100 per hour for as-needed onsite work; the mayor was authorized to sign the agreement after the CFO certified availability of funds.
Mayor Beverly Koehler also updated the Committee that networks, firewalls, switches and wireless access points have been installed and the township is approximately one month from completing computer, software and equipment installations across municipal departments.
The actions are intended to modernize the township’s municipal-building network and computing infrastructure and to provide an ongoing route for technical support and on-site assistance.
