Lebanon Township Committee meeting roundup: hires, servers, ordinance introduction and recycling event

At its June 7 meeting the Lebanon Township Committee handled several routine and administrative items:
- Personnel: The Committee approved Resolution No. 69-2023 to hire Chris Gurneak as a seasonal, part-time Department of Public Works employee at $17.50 per hour from June 19/20 through Sept. 1, 2023, with no benefits. The Municipal Treasurer certified available funds.
- Technology purchase: The Committee amended a prior approval to include two Dell servers at $4,036.18 each; the cost will be paid from ARP funds and the purchase will be memorialized by resolution at a future meeting.
- Ordinance: Ordinance No. 2023-05 was introduced on first reading to repeal Chapter 63, Article VIII of the Township Code (entitled 'Township Administrator'); a public hearing is scheduled for June 21, 2023.
- Events and appointments: The Committee approved a free computer/electronics and scrap recycling event for Oct. 21, 2023. Park Committee appointments were tabled until a future meeting.
- Finance: Committee members described vouchers exceeding $1,000 and approved the June 7 bill list totaling $225,029.64 by unanimous roll call vote.
- Deferred items: Resolution No. 67-2023, designating specific tracts for the deer-management program for the 2023–24 hunting season, was tabled pending further discussion; an engineer's letter raised Category 1 stream concerns at Red Mill Race Preserve that will be discussed at the next meeting.
The meeting concluded after an executive session and a post-executive motion regarding Jersey Professional Management.
