Bentleyville council approves payment of bills, juvenile diversion agreement and budget amendment

Council adopted Ordinance 2024-45 to authorize payment of $90,475.99 in October bills. The motion was made by Ryan Rubin and seconded by Ken Kvacek; roll-call votes recorded Chalfant, Goetsch, Hemmelgarn, Kvacek and Rubin as yes and Lisa Whitmyer absent.
Council next adopted Ordinance 2024-46 authorizing the mayor to enter into an agreement with the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Court Division, for the Community Diversion Program. The council moved to suspend the three-reading rule before voting; the motion to adopt was made by Ryan Rubin and seconded by Ken Kvacek and passed on a roll-call vote with Whitmyer absent.
Finally, Council adopted Resolution 2024-47 amending the Bentleyville budget for fiscal year 2024. The motion to adopt was made by Ryan Rubin and seconded by Robert Chalfant. Council also voted to suspend the three-reading rule on the resolution; roll-call votes for the suspension and the resolution recorded the same yes votes and Whitmyer absent.
