Selectboard member Eliza Jane Adams moved to authorize the town administrator to sign the CMP pole application; David Hill seconded. The motion carried on a voice vote recorded in the minutes as "All in Favor; Motion Carried." No vote tally was recorded in the minutes.
The board also reviewed the DEP advisory opinion on Bennett's Cove and directed staff to meet with engineering consultant GEI to evaluate alternatives and address drainage concerns. The minutes record that the Selectboard's next step on the advisory is a meeting with GEI; no formal vote on a preferred alternative was recorded.
Town staff also reported that the Town Administrator had contacted the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department and was told the department "may not be able to fulfill the usual contract with us this year," and that departmental reports (including the Code Enforcement Officer) were included in the meeting packet.
