Osborn outlined current and planned projects: the railroad crossing project; the Roundabout Project on State Highways 180 and 33; the 2025 Local Street Reconstruction program; Divisadero Street Reconstruction; the 5th & Quince Street Reconstruction; the Amador & Smoot Extension Project; and a Citywide Streetlight Inventory and Evaluation. Council members asked about the status of the Community Center, the planned Starbucks development, and the Police Station and Council Chambers project.
Discussion highlighted that several road projects will be funded by Measure C and that additional pedestrian-safety measures on Highway 33 are needed. Council Member Jose Alonso and Mayor Victor Martinez emphasized ongoing road improvement work and the council’s focus on community needs and beautification.
No formal votes on project funding or design were recorded at the meeting; the engineering update and related discussion were informational and will inform future agenda items and staff work.
