At its Feb. 9, 2026 meeting, the Veazie Town Council completed several administrative actions: it approved prior meeting minutes with two abstentions on separate votes, unanimously moved its March meeting, circulated and signed town and school warrants, entered and later exited an executive session under 1 MRSA §405(6)(C) to discuss acquisition of real property or economic development, and adjourned at 7:23 p.m.
Approval of minutes: Councilor Aaron Turcotte moved and Councilor Paul Messer seconded approval of the Dec. 8, 2025 meeting minutes; the motion carried 4-0-1, with Chairman Chris Bagley recorded as abstaining. Separately, Councilor Jeff Manter moved and Councilor Karen Walker seconded approval of the Jan. 12, 2026 meeting minutes; that motion carried 4-0-1, with Councilor Paul Messer recorded as abstaining.
Scheduling and warrants: Councilor Paul Messer moved and Councilor Karen Walker seconded to reschedule the March 9, 2026 council meeting to March 2, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.; the motion carried unanimously, 5-0-0. The council reviewed and signed Town AP warrants #17 & #18, Town payroll #16 & #17, School AP warrants #9 & #10, and School payroll #15 & #16; the warrants were circulated and signed during the meeting.
Executive session and adjournment: Councilor Karen Walker moved and Councilor Paul Messer seconded a motion to go into executive session under 1 MRSA §405(6)(C) to discuss acquisition of real property or economic development; the motion carried 5-0-0. The council later voted 5-0-0 to come out of executive session. Councilor Karen Walker then moved to adjourn, seconded by Councilor Aaron Turcotte; the adjournment motion carried 5-0-0 and the meeting ended at 7:23 p.m.
