Ed Walsh reported the transfer‑station contract negotiations are ongoing; a subcommittee narrowed bids to two vendors after eliminating a supplier that could not meet the tri‑county volume requirements, and the subcommittee hopes to complete a new contract by the end of the year. At the Transfer Station, Robin Ham reported chipping is complete and about 36 yards of chips remained; Will Langley agreed to take the chips for removal and the board encouraged staff to ensure removal in future operations.
The Town Administrator opened sand bids from multiple companies: Pepin & Sons ($20.00/yd), Northeast Excavation ($17.75/yd), Milton Mason LLC ($12.95/yd), Allstate Material (Carroll) ($18.04/yd), Seth McCoy ($14.25/yd), and Curtis ($13.20/yd). McGurty asked about lead times for delivery; the board asked Mr. Langley to contact the lowest three bidders to obtain sand samples and provide a recommendation at the next meeting.
Winchell reported the Road Committee has concerns about depleted funds and moved to ask the board to allocate $9,000 to cover work from April to July should three roads require attention in the period; the board discussed this funding request and indicated it would consider Article 43 and warrant items in upcoming agenda planning.
