At the start of new business, Select Board member Tom McGurty moved to approve an alcohol permit for Atwater Holding LLC for an event on Oct. 12, 2024; Daniel Norwood seconded and the motion carried with all in favor. McGurty then moved to approve a liquor license for Above and Beyond Catering for a wedding on Oct. 4, 2024; Norwood seconded and the motion carried, all in favor.
After an executive session, the board heard Article 43 requests. David Winchell moved to grant the requests from Eagle Road Association and Lakeside Road Association and to split the remaining balance of $4,650 between them; Norwood seconded. The board approved the motion with a recorded vote of 4–0 in favor and Ed Walsh recorded as abstaining. No further details about the total Article 43 allocations beyond the $4,650 remainder were specified during the meeting.
The board took no other formal votes on new warrants at this meeting. The board discussed planning a public informational hearing on warrant items for Oct. 9, 2024, as part of preparations for a Special Town Meeting.
