Residents press board on police coverage, posting of reports and neighborhood burglaries

One official said they would check with the police and return with a fuller update when officers and key staff are present at the next meeting.
Residents also raised concerns about police coverage after 4 p.m. and reported recent burglaries on Church Street and Rositter Street, including a reported break‑in last winter and a recent incident involving theft from a vehicle. “It’d be nice to alert or something so that the neighbors were aware,” one resident said, noting cameras did not always lead to prosecutions.
The board acknowledged the concerns and said the police matter would be placed on a future agenda when staff could provide more information about patrol schedules and reporting practices. No policy change or formal action was taken at the June 8 meeting.
