Early College and PEK programs report enrollment growth and 70 associate completions

San Felipe‑Del Rio CISD presented its 2025–26 College and Career Readiness School Model (CCRSM) report, detailing enrollment, outcomes and program structure for Early College High School and Del Rio High School PEK.
Presenter Carlos Vetta said Early College enrollment for 2025–26 was 480 with a projected enrollment of 491 for the following year; PEK enrollment was 47 with a projection of 77. Vetta noted Early College offers an Associate of Arts degree in general studies through Southwest Texas College, and PEK offers an Associate of Arts in teaching with work‑based learning opportunities.
"Early College High School had 113 high school graduates and out of those 113, 70 completed their associate degree," Vetta said, and added that Early College was recently designated an ECS campus with distinction. Board members asked about the 125‑student cohort limit; Vetta and administration said the cohort target was set during program planning to produce about 100 associate‑degree completers and that adjustments were made this year to meet access OBM requirements for economically disadvantaged students.
Trustees praised the programs and asked for clarification on cohort limits and partnerships; administration explained PEK students participate in CTE education pathways and get hands‑on experience within district elementary campuses.
