The mayor pledged the first $2,500 toward fundraising to support access to the Fuller House this year.
The minutes record that Haymore, described as the Robbins historian, spoke to citizens and introduced Dawn Anderson as his successor. The mayor said the Fuller House is an element of Robbins's local history and that additional financial help is needed to secure access this year.
Representatives from MWRD provided an update on a stormwater project flowing from Midlothian Creek to the Cal Sag Channel intended to alleviate flooding on Kedzie. According to the minutes, Phase 1 of the project was completed in December 2024; Phase 2 began in September 2024 and is scheduled to finish in January 2026. The presenters showed a rendering of the stormwater park and noted that some on-site materials not needed for the final design may be sold to a potential buyer.
The presentation was informational; no board action was recorded on the project at the meeting. The board also used the meeting to promote local services and safety programs, including free smoke-detector installation by the Robbins Fire Department.
