Robbins trustees approve Brodie Scholarship funding and swear in auxiliary officers

The Village of Robbins Board of Trustees on Jan. 28 approved a resolution authorizing disbursement from the Brodie Scholarship Fund and swore in auxiliary police officers.
Trustee Tiffany S. Robinson moved to approve the Brodie Scholarship Fund resolution (Resolution 1-28-25); Trustee Ernest Maxey Jr. seconded the motion. Roll-call votes were recorded as ayes from Trustees David R. Dyson, Ernest Maxey Jr., Thomas Harper Jr., Tiffany S. Robinson, Gregory N. Jackson and Michael Collier Sr.; the motion carried.
The mayor reminded residents that a Brodie Scholarship gala fundraiser is scheduled for July 17 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Moraine Valley Community College and invited volunteers to help with planning.
The board also moved to swear in three auxiliary officers. Trustee Thomas Harper Jr. moved the swearing-in and Trustee David R. Dyson seconded. The minutes list Delmar Buhs, Jeremy Coates and Sammie Young as the named auxiliary officers; the roll-call vote was unanimous. The minutes explicitly note Jeremy Coates was not present at the meeting and therefore was not physically sworn in that evening.
No amendments or conditions to the resolution were recorded in the minutes; both items passed by recorded roll-call votes.
