The Village of Waynesville Finance Committee reported stronger-than-expected revenue and confirmed setting aside annual reserves for Main Street concrete at its Dec. 16 meeting.
Jamie Morley, staff member for the committee, said the General Fund was budgeted at "$1,250,000" but actual revenue is "$1,470,000." She told members that year-to-date expenditures were "$700,000 for the general fund" and "$4.5 million for all funds," and that the village expects "reimbursements of $500,000 for the Third St. grant." The committee discussed those figures as they reviewed available funds for capital work.
Committee members agreed to put away "$80,000 yearly for the Main St. concrete work," Ms. Morley said. Members also noted a small reconciliation issue, with the balance off by "$147.19."
Mr. Colvin moved to adjourn at 6:31 p.m.; the motion passed with "2 ayes."
