New Claremore Main Street director outlines events, mural growth and façade plans

Anita described ongoing partnerships with local businesses and organizations, named recent board additions, and noted several departures from the board.
Looking ahead she said Main Street is pursuing full designation through Oklahoma Main Street (and eventual Binational Main Street accreditation), planning a farm-to-table fundraiser using ingredients from local producers in partnership with a Northeastern State chef, expanding a fall festival to two nights with a haunted alley, and working to restore storefront facades through fundraising and potential repair grants that would match owner contributions.
Council members thanked Anita and noted downtown murals and recent filming in Claremore that the city and Main Street helped facilitate. Anita said Main Street is working with city economic development and local partners to support business retention and downtown vibrancy.
