Axiom Technologies presents infrastructure proposal; Select Board forms five-member Broadband Committee

Mark Ouellette, speaking on behalf of Axiom Technologies, presented information about Axiom’s status and proposed that the town consider selling network equipment to Axiom and pursue infrastructure upgrades aimed at lowering electrical costs.
The Select Board discussed possible reforms to the Technology Fund and the Axiom contract but agreed to defer detailed consideration until the regular April meeting. Chair Katelyn Damon moved to reform the Broadband Committee with up to five members; Ingrid Gaither seconded and the motion passed 3-0.
No committee membership names were recorded at the meeting. The board did not adopt or approve any contracts with Axiom at this session; staff and board members left the Technology Fund and any contract decisions for the April meeting.
