Cushing Selectboard approves warrants, appoints park liaison, locks propane price and approves Dagget Lane

The Cushing Selectboard on Sept. 9 approved a series of routine and local-administration actions, including warrants, meeting minutes, a park liaison, a propane price lock and a private-road name.
Chair Craig Currie moved, and Brian Soiett seconded, approval of Warrants #34 and #35; the motion carried 5-0-0. The board also approved the minutes of the Aug. 26 meeting on a motion by Currie, seconded by Tracey Bally (5-0-0).
Resident Carol Leporati asked the board to appoint a selectboard liaison to the Good Neighbor Park Committee to help expedite and simplify park maintenance. The board approved a motion to have a selectboard representative serve as liaison (motion by Craig Currie, seconded by Michael James); the motion carried 5-0-0.
The board also moved to suggest that Cristen Rasmussen use the town office parking lot for an upcoming yard sale/craft fair; the action was conditional on insurance being provided. Craig Currie moved the suggestion and Brian Soiett seconded; the motion carried 5-0-0.
On procurement, the board voted to lock in propane at $2.09 per gallon with Maritime Energy for the 2024–2025 season (motion by Craig Currie, seconded by Tracey Bally). The board approved the private road name 'Dagget Lane' (motion by Craig Currie, seconded by Cheryl Stackpole). Both motions carried 5-0-0.
There were no recorded substantive comments during the citizens' comment portion. The meeting adjourned at 6:43 p.m. on a motion by Currie, seconded by Bally.
The actions taken are administrative and procedural; items requiring further analysis (notably the transfer station review) were left on the agenda for future meetings.
