Robert Sklodowski of Schreiber Road told the Valley View Council during the Jan. 6 public‑comment period that he seeks a letter of acceptance to facilitate annexation of four houses at the top of Schreiber Road hill. Sklodowski provided Council a packet outlining his reasons for the request.
Law Director Lambros said Council needs time to review the legal and logistical issues and is not taking a position during the meeting. Councilman Wyatt asked whether schoolchildren live in the properties; Sklodowski said there are none at this time. Mayor Matt March said the Council will look into the matter.
No motion or formal action was taken during the meeting; Council directed staff to review the materials and report back. Annexation would require coordination with Garfield Heights and a legal review before any formal action by Valley View.
The request came during the public‑comment portion of the meeting and the Council did not set a timeline for next steps.
