On parking enforcement, the board approved a motion, 3-0, to implement an April 1 deadline for any vehicles left in the Manset parking lot to be towed after hearing questions about Manset towing and a suggestion from Ingrid Gaither that the town consider an abandoned‑vehicle policy.
Administrative items approved with no recorded opposition included signing a contract with Text My Gov to provide municipal messaging services and authorizing Benjamin Sumner to serve as a Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) agent after a signature request was presented and signed by the board.
In land‑use follow-up, the board agreed to approach Chelsea Holdings LLC about a possible purchase of the “Joy Lot” in Northeast Harbor and directed Administrative Assistant James Fortune to send a letter to the company. The board also discussed adding more speed‑limit signs on both islands and asked Fortune to coordinate with a contractor about a possible extension of paving on Maple Avenue; a resident concern about paving a section of Sand Beach Road was noted and the minutes say existing plans allow for paving that section.
During audience communications, resident Nan Hadlock asked about town dock camera coverage and past‑due property taxes. Chair Damon reported that the Little Cranberry Isles (LCI) town dock cameras are operable, that the Great Cranberry Isles (GCI) cameras were destroyed and that there are no current plans to replace the GCI cameras. Town Clerk Benjamin Sumner said the town will undertake efforts to collect past‑due property taxes.
No executive session was held; the agenda cited a personnel matter under 1 M.R.S.A. §405(6)(A). Chair Damon moved to adjourn; the meeting ended at 1:45 P.M.
