Atkinson’s Water Resources Committee on Jan. 13 agreed to expand its online outreach and produce a testing case-study video to help residents understand when and how to test water.
Committee member Michael Richeson said the AWRC webpage can host links, PDFs and videos and that he will produce a case-study video. Michelle Veasey said she will ask neighbors to participate in the video. A participant named Carl asked about criteria for testing; committee members agreed they should develop clear guidelines to explain why, what and how often residents should test water. Michael Richeson said he will share draft materials with the committee and that John Apple will review them at the town level before publication.
The committee also agreed to add drought-assistance information for new wells to the webpage to help residents seeking resources during low-supply conditions. The committee’s next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
