The Versailles Village Council adopted Ordinance No. 24-43, which adjusts rates, terms and conditions for water and sanitary sewer services provided by the Village of Versailles. Village Attorney Tom Guillozet read the ordinance by title during the council’s third reading; the measure was adopted on a motion by Mr. Steinbrunner, seconded by Mr. Weaver, with the council voting "all yeas."
The ordinance was presented at third reading, and the council took formal action to adopt it during the Sept. 25 meeting. The text of the ordinance and the specific new rate schedule were read by title only; the meeting record does not include the full rate table or effective date beyond the adoption action.
Also during the meeting Guillozet read the second reading of Ordinance No. 24-44, which would adopt procedures and an application for street-side handicapped parking in the village. That ordinance remained at second reading and no final action on 24-44 was recorded on Sept. 25.
The council’s vote on Ordinance No. 24-43 was unanimous among members present (Griesdorn, Steinbrunner, Shaffer and Weaver). The meeting adjourned at 8:19 p.m.
