Versailles schedules Aug. 28 public hearing on Edgewood Phase II PUD and creates zoning legislation for annexed lots

Mr. Paulus moved to create legislation zoning the annexed properties owned by Nicholas & Timri Nolte, Alex & Malorie Cox, and James & Donna Monnier to R‑1; Mr. Griesdorn seconded and the vote was recorded as all yeas.
Francis also summarized a revised Planned Unit Development final application from Jems Homes, LLC for Edgewood at Versailles Phase II along Reed Ave. The revised PUD plan converts the originally approved four-unit condominium dwellings into zero lot-line double dwellings similar to other recent Reed Ave. development. Mr. Paulus moved to schedule a public hearing for August 28, 2024 at 6:50 p.m. to present the Planning Commission’s written recommendation; Ms. Shaffer seconded and the motion passed (vote: all yeas).
The Planning Commission had met on Aug. 7 and recommended withdrawal of the approved 2022 residential PUD for Edgewood Phase II, approval of a replat for Lot 1040, and final submission approval for the Phase II PUD prior to the scheduled public hearing.
