Plain City appoints councilmembers and community representatives to parks master plan committee

Council approved additional community and organizational representatives: Katie Khoury and Brad Hehmeyer (Parks & Recreation Committee), Jason Caldwell and Kurtis Baldner (Plain City Area Ball Association), Sean Bischel and Josh Jones (Jonathan Alder Soccer Association), Steve Votaw (Jonathan Alder Local School District), and Mayor Jody Carney; each appointment was moved, seconded, and approved with all members voting in favor.
The slate draws from existing advisory groups and local sports organizations and is intended to expand stakeholder input as the village advances a parks master plan and a Parks & Recreation Committee meeting on Feb. 10 will consider related project work.
Council did not discuss membership terms or specific deliverables at the special meeting; administrative staff will incorporate the appointments into ongoing planning work and next‑step scheduling.
