Carney said she planned to compile snack bags for the department’s trucks to support crews during future storms.
Council followed a Personnel & Finance, CIP Committee recommendation and, by unanimous consent, granted four hours of compensatory time to each Public Works employee as a formal expression of appreciation. Councilmember Aaron Lewis stated the committee had recommended the addition of four hours to employee compensatory balances; the change was approved without roll‑call objection.
The recognition and time award were described as morale‑focused steps to acknowledge staff effort during an unusually large snow event. No changes to pay scales or long‑term benefits were proposed at the meeting.
Council President Tyler Harriman and other members expressed appreciation for Public Works’ work during reports; the village administrator and finance director confirmed the compensatory time award was authorized administratively after Council’s unanimous consent.
