Mayor Jody Carney swore in Bayley Bocook at the Oct. 13 Plain City Council meeting, formally completing Bocook’s transition from cadet to certified Plain City police officer. Chief Dale McKee introduced Bocook and cadet Ryan Molter and said Bocook recently completed her training academy. Council and attendees congratulated Officer Bocook following the oath. The chief introduced Bocook’s grandfather, who pinned her badge during the ceremony. The meeting record notes Ms. Bocook is the first female police officer for the Plain City Police Department in more than 20 years and that Mr. Molter has begun academy training.
